On Sunday afternoon, June 23, 2013, 4:30-6:30 pm, Harmony House is pleased to present an amazing new artist, Grace Pettis.  Following in her legendary father's (Pierce Pettis) footsteps, Grace's original songs are winning her accolades all over the USA in festivals and in the UK and Europe.

Even though she received lots of musical inspiration and encouragement from her dad, she is definitely "her own person" when it comes to songwriting.  Please join us for a summer afternoon of "note"-worthy music!

Make reservations by calling 903/583-2661 and leaving the number of seats desired and your contact information (e-mails addresses preferred).  The suggested donation is $15 per person.  To prepay, please send your check made out to Grace Pettis to Faye Wedell, P.O. Box 812, Bonham, TX 75418.  Checks should be received by Wednesday, June 19th.  Refunds will be made to anyone cancelling a prepaid reservation by June 19.   An e-mail confirmation of the Reservation List will be sent to all with reservations before the show.  Guests may also pay at the door, but please respect the performing artist and the hosts by cancelling (903/583-2661), if unable to attend.  Independent artists depend upon their audience to "show up" for their livelihood.  All proceeds go to the performing artist.

Harmony House is located in the natural surroundings of Wildscape Acres, a serene spot just 10 miles north of Bonham, TX, and approximately 65 miles NE of the Dallas area. Visit
www.WildscapeAcres.com to discover more about this venue and destination.  If you need directions, please indicate this when making reservations. Leave your stress behind when you travel down a country road to enjoy the finest of acoustic music and original songwriting in Harmony House, a vintage home surrounded by a large meadow and woodlands!  All concerts are held indoors and seating is limited to 50.  Faye & Scott will provide you with bottomless cups of coffee, glasses of tea and delicious punches, and snacks to be enjoyed at the intermission or anytime you like.  A basket will be provided on the breakfast room table for an optional $1 cash donation to help defray costs. Grace will perform two 45-minute sets with a 30-minute intermission.

After the concert, guests may opt to stay for a "Build-Your-Own Taco Salad" Potluck Dinner....say around 7 pm! Please state your intent, when making reservations, so Faye & Scott can make adequate preparations.  You can sign up for an ingredient for the salad or a dessert by talking to Faye, who coordinates the menu.  If weather permits, the Potluck will be served outdoors, so you might bring along your lawn chair.  This is an ideal time for visiting with friends, making new ones, and spending extra time with Grace and her husband, Chris.  For those who play an instrument or just enjoy listening to others "jam", a Song Circle will be held after the Potluck.

Sharing the "Grace" of Grace... a short bio:

With stories in her soul, a dash of courage, and a smile that melts walls, Grace Pettis is busy doing what she was born to do. The life of an independent touring artist is tough, but somehow she makes it look easy.

In her short career, she has built a reputation as a respected songwriter among artists, industry, and fans. Her highly anticipated second album "TWO BIRDS" has received excellent reviews. Maverick Magazine featured a FIVE STAR review of her new album in their October edition. This sophomore album is a culmination of years of writing, touring and surviving as an independent artist.
While still in college, Grace released her self-titled debut album recorded at the renowned Blue Rock Studio in Wimberley, TX. After releasing her album she splashed onto the music scene winning NPR’s Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, where her, "Nine to Five Girl" was selected for Best Song honors.

Grace carried this momentum when she performed as an Official Showcase Artist, at the 2010 International Folk Alliance conference, where she captured the attention of presenters and radio programmers as a young standout. Later that spring, Grace won the Wildflower Festival Performing Songwriter Contest Grand Prize, and the People's Choice award.

Grace went on to join the Storyville Coffee "Freedom Tour" across the US with Willie Porter, David Wilcox, and her legendary songwriting father, Pierce Pettis. She then continued to tour in various formats from solo shows, to performances with Pierce Pettis, to trio performances with her producer Billy Crockett and cellist Dirje Smith. In 2011 Grace won the Kerrville New Folk Contest, and was an Official Showcase Artist at the 2012 New Music Seminar.

Grace's collection of accolades and years of touring led to her hugely successful fundraising campaign for her sophomore album TWO BIRDS. Grace continues to tour the country sharing her musical gifts with those who will listen.
