A Summer Concert

The program will feature a mix of Texas fiddle, bluegrass, and folk music.  Gerald Jones will be joined by Jim Chancellor (Texas Shorty), George Anderson, and the students of the Summer Music Intensives.
   
Gerald Jones is known in Texas and around the country for his wide range of talents on banjo, guitar, mandolin and fiddle.  He often performs with friend Jim Chancellor (Texas Shorty), a Texas fiddle legend and 2010 NEA National Heritage Fellowship recipient.  George Anderson is a bassist with a background in Gospel, Jazz, Country and Classical.  He attended UNT Music School, and performed in the acclaimed One O'Clock Lab Band.
 
Joining the group will be students from the Summer Music Intensives, taught at the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts, sponsored by the Arts and Music Guild and by a generous grant from the City of McKinney Arts Commission.  For more information, please see www.ArtsAndMusicGuild.org
