Denison -- Get ready for artillery demonstrations, Civil War skirmishes, a guerrilla extraction from Cold Springs One Room Schoolhouse, and then the evening will end with bluegrass and period music when Frontier Village in Denison hosts Civil War Days on Saturday and Sunday, July 29-30.
Frontier Village will open for visitors at 9:00 a.m. Saturday and rumor has it a jailbreak is in the works soon afterward.
On Saturday, skirmishes are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The guerrilla extraction from Cold Springs One Room Schoolhouse is expected to occur at 2:30 p.m. Miss Maude will be glad to see them gone so she can have her schoolhouse back!

Then, beginning at 7:00 p.m., Full Quiver will entertain with bluegrass and period music. Bring your lawn chair, sit and tap your toes and clap your hands as they entertain you. Saturday's activities wrap up at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday morning, Civil War Days gets underway at 9:00 a.m. and ends at noon.

The 9th Texas, 15th Texas, and 36th Texas will be present along with Elliott's Scouts Texas Company D and members of the Reeves Camp of Sherman.
There will be plenty of other activities going on, and kids can even pan for gold!
It's going to be an exciting day, and we want to see everyone there!
