
…Stop hating and continue the healing. Stop inciting citizens to fear “the other,” and share the insights into our history that remind us that we have been through rough times before and we have approached internal peace even if was temporary.
…Reject revenge and focus on reconstruction of our political and social infrastructure. Reversing the legislation of the past administration in revenge does not benefit the USA’s future, but encourages a roller coaster effect for years to come. Place what is best for our nation above party politics and “winning” the next election. Can we even approach what Mr. Rogers idealized as “the neighborhood”?
…Democracy is not a given without hard work all the time, before and after elections.
With such close races in several states, we may not know the full results for some time,; but we know at least two prospects: First, The Mueller investigation is yet to report; and second, the remodeled House and Senate will not be sworn in until January 3, 2019. In November and December we should expect the unexpected.
Thousands of years ago, Moses said to the Egyptian Pharaoh: “Let my people go!” Today in the USA, may all our people, especially those spiritual descendants of Moses (Jews, Christians and Muslims) be able and inspired to vote!
