Bonham, Texas -- January is starting off with a busy schedule at the Creative Arts Center. For those who missed the other Acrylic Pouring classes at the Center last year, you have another opportunity to join in on the fun.

Acrylic Pouring is a technique that requires no experience and is fun for everyone. After mixing acrylic paint with certain additives the paint is "poured" on the canvas using one of many techniques. The reaction of the paint with the additives often makes fishscale-like patterns known as cells appear in the paint. Some techniques produce amazing abstract art. Multiple colors are usually used for maximum effect.

The Painting Party at the arts center is on Thursday, January 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Participants must call and reserve their spot with payment by Wednesday, January 16. BYOB and snacks and the art supplies and instructor are provided. To make reservations call 903-640-2196.
