Paris, Texas -- The Lamar County Genealogical Society's next meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12. Our speaker will be Marynell Anderson Bryant.

In addition to TSGS, Marynell is past president of her chapter of US Daughters of 1812, served as state fourth vice president, and will be state registrar next year. She is regent of her DAR chapter, regent of her Daughters of American Colonists chapter, and registrar of her chapter of US Daughters of 1812.
She is an eighth generation Texan descending from Bailey Anderson, Sr., a Revolutionary War veteran from Virginia and South Carolina, who came to Texas in 1819.
She taught journalism for 35 years at Sulphur Springs High School sponsoring the school newspaper, yearbook, and weekly broadcast program. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Texas A&M University – Commerce.
