Mother’s Day has an exceptional meaning to the Haley family
Paris, Texas -- Cas Haley is from Paris, Texas and well-known for his title of 2020 Lincoln ‘Chart Your Course’ GRAMMYs songwriting contest winner. Yet, they say behind every great man, there is a great woman. They also say moms are the real superheroes. Meet super mom, Cassy Haley, full-time mom, and singer-songwriter.

Cassy Haley co-wrote singles from Cas Haley’s latest album, “All The Right People,” and helped write and record two full albums. Life on the road is part of the routine because the Haleys tour as a family band. This also means a busy schedule for the Haley family.

Big Hope Podcast, is where Cas sits down with his friends to talk about balancing family and career. On episode five, Cas sat down with his wife, Cassy, as they discussed her goals and how her passion for music started. Throughout the interview, Haley asked his wife, about her goals growing up. “I was always confused. I knew I always wanted to have a family and be a mom, and be able to express her creativity that way,” Cassy Haley answers.

However, it wasn’t an easy journey for the Haley family. Tour dates and press coverage took a pause as they discovered Cassy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cas and Cassy stayed optimistic and manifested this outlook by deciding, as a family, to live a healthier lifestyle, which in turn lead to discovering her creative outlet that helped produce two of Cas’s albums. After, fighting a courageous battle, Cassy won.
Not only is Cassy a super mom, but a super friend. “Kellie’s Song,” from Haley’s latest album, “All The Right People,” was Cassy’s unique way of showing her support to someone who needed it the most. Cas explains that the spirit of “Kellie’s Song,” came completely from Cassy. This song was inspired by reflecting on moments with special people that took place during Cassy’s journey battling breast cancer. Kellie is a good friend of Cassy was also diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. The song opens up with:
