PUBLIC NOTICE

 

This is official notice that there will be a Public Hearing at 5:00 pm, Monday, August 1, 2022, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 220 W. Mulberry, Sherman, Texas, for the following Item and Ordinances. The Meeting at which these Agenda Items are to be considered is open to the public as required by law.

 

PUBLIC HEARING

First Public Hearing Required by the Charter to Adopt a Budget and Provide for the Appropriation of Funds for Operating and Capital Expenditures for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2022, and Ending September 30, 2023; Declaring that this Budget will Raise More Total Property Taxes than Last Year's Budget by $2,760,000 and 14%, and of that Amount $476,000 is Tax Revenue to be Raised from New Property Added to the Tax Roll this Year; Providing a Savings/Repealing Clause, Severability Clause and an Effective Date; Providing for the Publication of the Caption Hereof

ORDINANCE NO. 6507

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Sherman, Texas, Closing the Platted Alley West of Lots 1-4, Block 4, W. Elliott's Addition in the City of Sherman, Grayson County, Texas, as Being Shown in Volume 101, Page 4, Deed Records, Grayson County, Texas, and Being More Particularly Described in the Exhibit "A" Attached Hereto and Made a Part Hereof for all Purposes, said Property Shall be Reserved as an Easement for Public and Franchise Utilities for the Right of Ingress and Egress to Same for Purposes of Operation, Maintenance or Removal of Such Utilities or Until Such Utilities Shall be Abandoned or Relocated
