Paris, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets opened the 2022 volleyball season with a three-set win over Trinity Christian Academy- Paris.

Dodd City set the tone with a 25-13 victory in the first set and followed up with wins of 25-16 and 25-22 for the sweep.

Kadyn McCarley knocked down a dozen kills to lead a Dodd City attack that included 9 kills by Camryn McCarley, seven kills by Addison Weeks and four kills by Lindsey Mauppin.  Brianna Rodriguez and Hannah Burney each had one kill.

Addyson Chaney came up with a team-high 13 digs and Autumn Brown had one dig.

Dodd City will compete in the Detroit Volleyball Tournament.
