Bonham, Texas -- Legacy Ridge Country Club has been a star in the North Texas golf scene for two decades and now it will be in the movies.
The Short Game, a movie centered around a high school golfer dealing with complex family issues as he tries to earn a college scholarship, will soon go into production in North Texas and the golf scenes will be filmed at Legacy Ridge Country Club in Bonham.

Frank Sanza, a Sherman resident, will direct the movie and much of the movie will be filmed in the Sherman area.
The crew is currently lining up volunteers who would like to be an extra, as well as crew assistants.
The movie's golf scenes will be filmed during a three-week period at Legacy Ridge. The course will continue to be open during that time, but provisions will be made for the film crew and actors.
The movie will feature Glenn Moorshower, who appeared in the popular Netflix series Ozark, as well as the series, 24, and the movie, X-Men.
Legacy Ridge offers both a links front nine and stunning wooded back nine, which the director believes will allow for amazing versatility when filming the golf scenes.
