Workshop: Save Texas History Essay Contest
Denison, Texas -- The Texas General Land Office is hosting their annual Save Texas History Essay Contest for 4th and 7th grade Texas public, private, and homeschool students. This year’s prompt is, “What history in your community is worth saving?”
To help students get a jump start on their projects and build historical skills, the Eisenhower Birthplace in Denison is hosting an introductory workshop. We will help students understand contest guidelines, brainstorm ideas, develop a topic, and identify potential historical sources.
The Eisenhower Birthplace is hosting two sessions on Saturday, October 7.
10:00-11:00 a.m. for 4th grade
2:00-3:00 p.m. for 7th grade.
