Thanksgiving dinner donations
for unhoused communities
Sherman, Denison, and Durant (November 15, 2023) - In a heartfelt initiative to support our unhoused neighbors this Thanksgiving, the community is coming together to seek food and monetary donations. These generous contributions will aid in providing a warm, nourishing Thanksgiving dinner to those in need across Sherman, Denison, and Durant.
A collaborative effort for compassion
This year, the esteemed MMIW Chahta Board is leading the charge. They will be dedicating their time and efforts to prepare the meals, ensuring that each dish is made
with care and respect.
Your contributions matter
We are reaching out to all community members to come forward with donations, be it food items or monetary assistance. Every bit of help counts in making this Thanksgiving a memorable one for our unhoused friends.
Where to donate
To make it convenient for donors, drop-off locations have been set up at strategic points.
These include:
Starbucks in Denison (both locations)
Starbucks in Sherman (Hwy 75 & Hwy 82)
Merle Norman store in Durant, OK
Durant Choctaw Casino HR office
A call to action
We encourage everyone in our community to spread the word and participate in this noble cause. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those who need our support the most during this season of gratitude.
