Leonard, Texas -- Blanton Hancock, 89, passed away on October 26, 2024, in Denison, Texas. He was born on November 27, 1934, to parents Dan Wilmer Hancock and Offie Juantia (Blanton) Hancock in Leonard, Texas.

Blanton married Martha Burden on May 21, 1955. They shared 69 years of marriage.

Blanton will be remembered by his loving wife, Martha Hancock of Leonard, Texas; son, Timothy Hancock of Leonard, Texas; grandchildren, Cody Hancock and wife, Holly, of Trenton, Texas, Travis Hancock and wife, Faith, of Leonard, Texas, and Ethan Hancock and partner, Journie Hilliard, of Bonham, Texas; great grandchildren, Paula Brooke Hancock; sister, Frieda Riley and husband, David; brother in laws, Bobby Burden and Ray Hall; sister in law, Linda Burden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jo Nita Nash.

The family will welcome guests at a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 701 North Cedar Street, Leonard, Texas 75452. Following the visitation, we will proceed to Burns Cemetery for the graveside service.

Pallbearers for Blanton’s service are Cody Hancock, Travis Hancock, Ethan Hancock, Kirby Burden, Craig Flanagan, and JT Flanagan.
