New member training for Bois d' Arc Master Naturalist

Fannin County, Texas -- If you enjoy learning about our native Texas plants and animal life, this training is for you! The training focuses on understanding, identifying, and managing our local habitats, citizen science projects, community outreach, and more. New member training will start on January 21, 2025, and will be completed by November 18, 2025.

Training will consist of classroom, online, and field experiences, totaling 40 hours and covering various topics. Classes will be presented by Texas Master Naturalists members and multiple experts in their fields.

Join the fun with like-minded nature lovers. Step one is to complete the waiver and agreement form - when prompted choose Bois d’ Arc Chapter.

Step two is to visit our website https://txmn.org/boisdarc/, then click To Apply to download and complete your application. Completed applications can be turned in at the Fannin County AgriLife Office 2505 N Center in Bonham. The application deadline is January 14, 2025.

Training costs are $100 per individual or $150 per couple (willing to share a book). The fee includes your textbook, local dues, and an official name badge (upon class completion).

Enrollment in the Bois d’Arc Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program in Fannin County is open to anyone over eighteen. All members must successfully pass a background check.

Unless otherwise posted, meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at Texas AgriLife Office 2505 N Center in Bonham. They start at 5:30 p.m. with a potluck dinner. Program speakers begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by a business meeting (members only).
