Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets opened up the 2024 Craig Reed Invitational with a 31-point win over Cumby.

Dodd City started the game with a 16-0 run. Addison Weeks hit a pair of baskets, Kayleigh McBrayer put up two points, Gracyn Shindler connected on two shots and the Lady Hornets were off and running.

Dodd City led 21-2 after the first period and 31-4 at the half, with Weeks knocking down 21 points.

The Lady Hornets had a 40-7 cushion going into the fourth quarter and went on to post a 48-17 victory.

Addison Weeks poured in a game-high 32 points, Gracyn Shindler scored eight and Kayleigh McBrayer finished with four points.

The Dodd City Lady Hornets will be back in action at 2:20 p.m. Friday against Detroit.
