Fannin County, Texas -- The public is invited to tour the 1888 Fannin County Courthouse this Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Fannin County employees and volunteers have been as busy as Santa's elves as they adorned the historic structure with Christmas decorations.

Want to brighten up a child's Christmas? The Angel Tree at the Fannin County Courthouse still has plenty of opportunities to support the children for Christmas through the Fannin County Children’s Center.

The Angel Tree is placed in the center of the hallway on the 1st floor just as you walk in. We hope that the tree becomes bare soon, as there is a December 13 deadline to bring the presents in to be wrapped for the children.

Don't miss Sweets, Spirits and Sparkles on Saturday, December 7 - this is Creative Arts Center's annual holiday shopping extravaganza. Shopping hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. December 7, and bonus shopping hours will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. as part of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce Wine Walk.

There is no admission fee to simply come shop at the center. The courthouse also has a tree that the Creative Art Center children have created ornaments for as well.

The Holiday Wine Stroll & Taste of Bonham will be another entertaining event happening December 7 in historic downtown Bonham. The Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to take a leisurely stroll around the Fannin County Courthouse square while enjoying a variety of wines from local wineries and tasty bites from local eateries. Advance tickets are now available through Eventbrite for both Wine & Food or Food Only. Buy early to secure your Wine Stroll glass, lanyard, and shopping bag!

In addition, Fannin County will welcome the Bonham High School Choir to the courthouse for a Christmas Choral performance during the December 17 regular meeting of Fannin County Commissioners Court. This is becoming a highly anticipated annual event that the public is welcome to attend.
