Bonham ISD names Eric Hicks Bonham High School Principal

At the school board meeting on December 9, 2024, the Bonham Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously voted to promote Assistant Principal Eric Hicks to the position of Principal at Bonham High School. District leaders are excited about this decision, because they believe Mr. Hicks has the ability to inspire pride and uphold the traditions of Bonham ISD.

Mr. Hicks is a proud graduate of Bonham High School, having completed his education here as a member of the Class of 2005 after attending Bonham ISD since Pre-Kindergarten. Following his graduation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of
Texas at Tyler.

With 15 years of experience in the educational industry, Mr. Hicks has dedicated seven of those years to serving the students at Bonham High School. Before becoming the Assistant Principal, he was a professional communications teacher and coached the high school boys basketball team. He has held the position of Assistant Principal for the past 2.5 years.
