Workforce Solutions Texoma is proud to announce that Kwik Chek Food Stores, Inc., doing business as TXB Stores, was honored by the Texas Workforce Commision as the region’s 2024 Local Employer of Excellence.  Kwik Chek Food Stores/TXB accepted the award at the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) 27th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held Dec. 4 - Dec. 6, 2024, in Grapevine.  Local Workforce Development Boards nominate employers who make a positive impact on workers, the community, and the state through their partnerships with Texas Workforce Solutions.

Kwik Chek Food/TXB Stores have been a mainstay in Bonham since 1971. With multiple convenience stores/travel center locations in the Texoma Board area, they regularly post jobs in WorkInTexas and utilize the services of Texoma’s Workforce Centers. Additionally, the McCraw Oil division provides over 100 jobs in the wholesale oil and gas industry. Each summer, Kwik Chek Food/TXB Stores can be counted on to participate in our Teacher Externship program which provides teachers, counselors, and administrators a paid externship at a local business in a county in the Texoma area. They have also participated in the Summer Earn and Learn Program which provides paid work experience for youth in the Texoma area and has also provided additional subsidized work experience opportunities for Workforce customers. For the past four years they have had a representative on the Texoma Workforce Board.

The company has recently started rebranding their stores to TXB—Texas Born.  With 8 locations in the Texoma Board Area, they provide jobs for hundreds of Texoma youth and adults. Workforce Solutions Texoma is proud to nominate Kwik Chek Foods as our Local Employer of the Year!
