Leonard, Texas -- The Leonard Tigers turned back a late rally by Lone Oak to pick up a two-point win in the second round of the 62nd Leonard Holiday Tournament.

The Tigers knocked down five three-point shots to take a 19-14 lead at the first buzzer and Leonard took a 29-23 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Lone Oak outscored Leonard 33-29 in the second half, but the Tigers held on to put a 58-56 win in the books.

Leonard's Joe Shearer led all scorers with 18 points and Jacoby Lacook scored 16.

Leonard advances to take on the winner of Life Oak Cliff/Whitesboro at 5:40 p.m. Friday.
