Award-winning festivals and events make Addison, Texas, an entertainment destination

Addison, Texas -- Addison is where memories happen – it’s well known as the place North Texans come to gather and celebrate with great music, food and fun. The Town’s legendary special events attract tens of thousands of people with talented musical guests, memorable visual displays, immersive experiences and more. For 2025, Addison’s signature festivals Taste Addison, Addison Kaboom Town!® and Addison Oktoberfest will return.

First, Addison has an experience for every vibe at Taste Addison, the iconic festival that is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025. This year, the festival moves from its traditional late May/early June dates to the last weekend in April, when guests will be able to relax with cooler temps. With a focus on the culinary arts, performing arts and visual arts, Taste Addison truly offers something for everyone. Food booths and trucks, international delicacies, a tasting area and Sunday brunch are all part of the culinary experience. Beer, wine and spirits will round out the culinary space to fill your cups. National, regional and community artists take to the stages (and spaces) for the performing arts. Visual art comes to life and adds to the shopping experience. Festivities for the kids make it a weekend of family fun as well as a foodie experience for every palate. Taste Addison is a chance to discover what makes Addison the center of it all! Addison Kaboom Town! lines the sky with aircraft and illuminates the night with sparks on July 3. The dazzling, nationally renowned fireworks and air show, which celebrates its 40th year in 2025, kicks off the celebration of Independence Day. Watch parties extend from Addison Circle Park to many of the Town’s 200+ restaurants, creating a true, townwide celebration. addisonkaboomtown.com

Finally, at Addison Oktoberfest, experience the original Bavarian celebration with a purely Texan twist. For more than 35 years, people have donned dirndls and lederhosen (or have just come as they are) for four days of revelry in German culture, food, music and bier. Prost to the sound of polka bands and other entertainers on five stages in Addison Circle Park, and participate in special games for bier lovers, kids of all ages, dachshunds and more.
