Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets remained undefeated in District 19-1A with a 42-point win over the Ector Lady Eagles.

Dodd City had a 13-7 lead after the first quarter and the Lady Hornets took over with a 17-1 run in the second period to go up 30-8 at the half.

Dodd City's defense set the tone in the third quarter and helped the Lady Hornets go on an 8-2 run to enter the final period with a commanding 38-10 lead.

The Lady Hornets would go on to outscore Ector, 17-3, in the fourth quarter to put a 55-13 win in the books.

Dodd City basketball phenom Addison Weeks poured in 38 points to go along with the junior's eight rebounds, six steals and two assists.

Gracyn Shindler put up eight points, grabbed five steals and handed out four assists.

Ralyn Daniels scored seven, pulled down five rebounds and came up with three steals.

Kayleigh McBrayer and Kendyl Lindsey chipped in two points apiece, Caroline Lackey had one rebound and one steal and Harlee Duncan grabbed one rebound.

The Dodd City Lady Hornets (16-8, 5-0) will travel to Savoy on Tuesday, January 21.
