Bonham, Texas -- Lowell Garrett, 86, of Bonham, TX, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 20, 2025.
Born on March 25, 1938, to Gilmer and Etta (Brooks) Garrett in Castlewood, VA, Lowell was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather.
He was hard-working and dedicated, serving as a U.S. Army veteran, a retired coal miner, and a heavy equipment operator. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family, friends, and neighbors.
Although Lowell preferred to avoid the spotlight, he deserves recognition for his many years of devoted love of God, his family, and his Country. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and generosity, and his impact was felt by everyone who knew him.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, operating heavy machinery, and horseback riding.
Lowell is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette (Marshall) Garrett; two daughters, Regina (Daniel) Sisk and Jacqueline Garrett (LJ Hutchens); three grandchildren, Cheyenne (Bucky) Pettie, Colorado (Khylee) Sisk, Miranda (Matthew) Hymel; he is preceded in death by one grandson Master Dakota Wayne Sisk.
