Sunday, February 23

"Jeff Black has the troubadour quality of a Steve Goodman, the poetic dignity of Bruce Springsteen, and the outer-fringe edge of Townes Van Zandt. We kid you not." ~ Steve Morse, The Boston Globe

Ravenna, Texas -- We invite you to a musical afternoon you won't forget.  Scott (host) has learned almost every song on the Jeff Black CDs we own -- and can play accompaniment for them all.  To say the least, Jeff is one of our favs, but he's hard to keep up with due to constant touring when not recording in his Nashville home.  Please mark your calendars now for Sunday, February 23, 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Make reservations by calling 903-583-2661, leaving your name, number of reservations desired, and contact info (preferably, an email address).  Faye (me) will get in touch with you to confirm.  Reservations are $25 per person, payable at the door in cash or check made payable to Jeff Black.  Please call ASAP, if unable to attend, as No-Shows are a No-No.

Crowd out front of Harmony House
Harmony House is located on 160 acres called Wildscape Acres  (www.WildscapeAcres.com), 10 miles north of Bonham, TX and about 65 miles NE of the Dallas metroplex.  If you don't already know how to find us, you can ask for directions/physical address when you make a reservation.

Our "little house on the prairie" is a vintage home we reclaimed and moved here.  It has been the site of more musical greats than you can imagine for over 20 years.

Also, check out Harmony House Concerts Group on FB.

We feature different artists --- many that we have heard personally at festivals or in concert.  All artists are acoustic musicians playing their original songs before our audiences.  As for genre, it falls under the big umbrella of ‘folk’, but that can be everything from blues to Texas swing to Indie.

If you've never been here before, you will be greeted with arms wide open; everyone is welcome.

Faye & Scott (that's us, your hosts) provide guests with bottomless cups of java (the real deal), tea punches sweetened with organic juices, or well water.  We also provide cheese and crackers and a few other snacks.  Guests are asked to bring a finger-type food to share with other guests.  There will be tables for grazing on delicious goodies throughout the house.  There will be a plate in the breakfast room for optional $1 cash donations to help us defray our costs.  The artist gets all the Reservation $$, plus sales of any CDs or other merchandise.

2024 started off in Muscle Shoals at FAME studios to begin work on the recording of all new compositions with a handpicked family of musicians and engineers.  This new album has been 25 years in the making since recording "Birmingham Road" with Wilco at Willie Nelson's Pedernales Studios outside of Austin. Reuniting with "Birmingham Road" producer, six-time Grammy nominee and three-time Juno nominee Susan Rogers, Jeff Black spent session days recording new songs January 16-18, 2024.  Production continues in Nashville, spring of 2025.

Anthology --- a retrospect of songs recorded 1998-2020 --- is set to be released March 2025.  In the tradition of the great storytellers, his passionate, soul-driven live performances of songs from his vast catalog are not to be missed.  When Jeff is not on the road, he lives in Nashville.
