Fannin Soil & Water Conservation District #520 announces poster and essay winners

Fannin County, Texas -- We are so excited to announce our winners in our annual poster and essay contest.  This year’s theme is Home is Where the Habitat is. We had 65 entries this year and it was extremely difficult to judge.

This year’s poster winners are :

1st January Loftice
2nd Maeyson Mallicote
3rd Adalynne Jones

Essay winners are:

1st Harper Tindell
2nd Sage Tumminello
3rd Dally Peebles

All of the winners are students in Ms. Jessica Womack’s class at Honey Grove ISD.  Ms. Womack is very active in our educational programs.  She encourages her students to be good stewards of the land.

If you would like to see all of the posters, they will be displayed at this year’s annual Master Gardener’s Expo on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Multipurpose Complex.  These students worked very hard and are so excited for the public to see their work. 

The contest is always open to all Fannin County schools.
