Whitewright, Texas -- Warren Reed Blackmon, Jr., 72, passed away January 30, 2025, in McKinney, Texas.  He was born on December 5, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to his loving parents Warren Reed Blackmon and Georgia Victoria (Province) Blackmon.

Reed is survived by his son, J. Preston Blackmon, of Dodd City, Texas; daughter, Kari Kruse (Dennis), of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Kruse and Rylie Kruse; sister, Vicki Davis (Jerry), of Collinsville, Texas; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will fondly cherish his memory. 

Reed was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Georgia Blackmon.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Kings Trail Cowboy Church, 498 Bethel-Cannon Road, Whitewright, Texas 75491.
