Bonham, Texas – Lloyd Woodlee, 85, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2025, surrounded by his family who loved him.
Born July 20, 1939 in Dallas, Texas, to Parker Lyle Woodlee and Katie Maggie Lee Barnett Woodlee, Lloyd grew up in a loving family and became a young man who served in the Army, met the love of his life and created a family of his own.
Lloyd raised three children and did his best to give them the experiences and memories they would carry for their lifetimes. Lloyd had a successful career, however; despite all of his achievements, his love for family and becoming a grandparent gave him the most joy. He was a fixture at any family gatherings and events (especially grandkids sports).
Recently, Lloyd cherished his new role, becoming a great-granddaddy, and he continued to find joy in life. His greatest accomplishment was to raise his family to know Jesus! The stories he told, the memories, and all the love he gave will be shared, and he will live on in our hearts.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his in-laws, Willy and Theda Rutledge, parents, Parker Woodlee and Katie Woodlee, granddaughters, Katelynn Woodlee and Ashleigh Lindsey Woodlee, brother-in-law, Raymond Rutledge, sister-in-law, Marcella Woodlee, and daughter-in-law, Christie Woodlee.
Lloyd leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 59 years, Mary Lynne Woodlee, children, Sandy Roberts and husband, Jesse, Jim Woodlee and wife, Tara, John Woodlee and wife, Misty, grandchildren, Austin B. and wife, Courtney, Sarah, Raechel and husband, Billy, Austin D., Cayla and husband, Hunter, Cassandra, great-grandchildren, Hayson, Reins, Laney, Ella, Elaina and Ryker, siblings, Jerry Woodlee and wife Ladean, Don Woodlee and wife, Effie, Bill Woodlee and wife, Shawn, and Sherry Sims and husband, Alton, sister-in-law, Suzie Lindsey and husband, Don, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
