Bonham, Texas – Graveside services for Peggy Ann Oliver, 86, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone, Texas under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. Bro. Ricky Granstaff will officiate. Peggy passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born November 18, 1938 to parents, Buster Brown Holland and Phoebe Anna Tracy Holland. She married James Carlton Oliver on Aug. 17, 1957 in the Duplex Community of Fannin County and he preceded her in death Oct. 9, 2012. Peggy was also preceded in death by her parents, grandmother, Dora Holland, sisters, Billie Jo Holland Charles and Beverly Jean Holland Jackson, a son, Kenneth Wayne Oliver, grandson, Kenneth Dewayne Whitfield, and nephew and Marty Charles.

She was employed with Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham for a number of years. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

Peggy leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Caren Easton and husband, Mark, and Carla Whitfield and husband, Darrell, granddaughter, Jessica Moreno and husband, Erick, grandson, Cody Whitfield and wife Yanetsi, sisters, Linda Maples and husband, David and Shirlee Cave and husband, Johnny, brother-in-law, Don Oliver and wife, Barbara, and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Whitfield, Erick Moreno, Mark Easton, David Oliver, Ronnie Holland and Cody Whitfield.

The family will be gathering at the Telephone Community Center at 11:00 a.m. Friday for a time of fellowship, visitation and a meal.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forest Grove Cemetery, P. O. Box 23, Telephone, TX 75488.

The family sends a heartfelt “Thank You” to the Heart to Heart Hospice team, Suzanna, Darrien and Ashley and the caregivers, Daphne Gammons, Donnee Wallace, Karla Adams and Theressa Barnes.
