Sherman, Texas -- Austin College will host its annual Dr. Kenneth Street Law Symposium on Thursday, February 20, 2025, with the theme, Ethical Challenge and Legal Reform in an Era of Incivility.
The event is sponsored by the Austin College Pre-Law Society, Austin College Student Assembly, Judge Andy Porter, The Sumners Foundation of Dallas, Adam B. Reed ’94 & Associates, Buck ’60 and Robyn McChesney Files ’62, and Grayson County Bar Association. The afternoon will include four panels and a luncheon with keynote speaker William G. Hagans of Hagans Law Firm. A reception will follow the event at the Collins Alumni Center from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m.
Registration for the event is required—$50 for attorneys, $25 for general audience, $15 for Grayson Bar members, and free for students, faculty, and staff—and open now.

2 p.m. Panel 2: Legal Ethics, Policy Advocacy and Expertise, and Administrative Accountability in Environmental Law
3:05 p.m. Panel 3: Legal and Moral Dilemmas of Immigration Law in the Highly Partisan Atmosphere of Immigration Policy
3:10 p.m. Panel 4: Freedom of Speech and Press: The First Amendment and Cancel Culture
