Honey Grove, Texas -- Funeral services for Bobby Jack Simpson Jr., 66, of Midland, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Honey Grove. Pastor Gary Price will officiate. Interment will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Petty, TX. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to funeral service at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyler Simpson, Michael Black, Damion Black, John Thyfault, and PK Simpson.

Bobby Jack was born October 18,1958 in Carlsbad, NM. the son of  Bobby Jack Simpson Sr and Mary Muriel (Tredway) Simpson. He was a welder by trade, and enjoyed deer hunting with his boys, golfing, and riding his Harley. Although he was a career welder, he would often say his favorite and most important job was picking up his grandkids whether from school or any other activities.

Bobby is survived by his two sons, Jason Simpson and wife Kimberly of Baird, TX.,  and Justin Simpson and wife Jessica of Midland, TX; his 6 grandchildren: Jacey, Kyler, Christian, Jillian, Jordan and Jax.  He is also survived by sister, Joy Simpson of Garland, TX; and brother, Phillip Simpson and wife Cody of Oklahoma; along with nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Jack Sr. and Mary Simpson, and brother, Jackie Lynn Simpson.
