McKinney, Texas, February 18, 2025 — Colorado Christian University (CCU) has awarded Ava Travis of McKinney, Texas, one of its highly coveted World Changers Scholarships, a full-tuition award recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to Christ-centered service.
Travis, a homeschooled student, achieved a remarkable 4.88 GPA, a perfect ACT score of 36, and a 1530 SAT score. She has been awarded CCU’s Distinguished Achievement Scholarship and plans to pursue a Pre-Medical Profession (B.S.) degree. An avid writer and reader, Travis has already authored 10 novels, showcasing her creativity and passion for storytelling.
“Ava is a shining example of the academic and spiritual excellence that CCU seeks to develop in its students,” stated CCU President Eric Hogue. “Her dedication to learning and her Christ-centered approach to leadership make her a deserving recipient of this scholarship.”
Travis was selected from a competitive national pool of students who participated in CCU’s World Changers Scholarship Competition. In addition to the three full-tuition recipients, 25 top finishers were awarded $1,000 Top 25 World Changer Finisher Scholarships to support their education at CCU.
