Hannah Alexander '12 to speak at 2025 Will Mann Richardson Lecture

Sherman, Texas -- Alumna Hannah Alexander '12 will speak at this year’s Will Mann Richardson Lecture Series on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in Wright Campus Center, Mabee Hall. The event is free and open to the public. 

At Austin College, Alexander double-majored in Spanish and political science and minored in philosophy. She continued her education at The University of Texas School of Law, where she served as president of the Public Interest Law Association and received a William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law Graduating Student Award.

Immediately after law school, Alexander worked for the Equal Justice Center’s in its Dallas office, first as an Equal Justice Works Fellow and later as a staff attorney. Most recently, she served as a staff attorney with Disability Rights Texas focusing on Institutional Rights & Civil Liberties, she represented individuals with mental illness who experienced abuse, neglect, and exploitation in jails, prisons, psychiatric facilities, and other carceral and institutional settings.

The Will Mann Richardson Lectureships and Seminars bring outstanding individuals to campus to discuss pertinent issues in economics, banking, law, and government. They were endowed by gifts from Will Mann Richardson and his wife, Gertrude Anne Windsor Richardson; his mother-in-law Gertrude Buckley Windsor; and his children William Windsor Richardson, John Marshall Richardson, Gertrude Windsor Richardson, and James Windsor Richardson.
