Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City Hornets scored 11 runs in the first inning and came right back with nine runs in the second inning to defeat the Savoy Cardinals 20-0.
Riley Walker led the Hornets at the plate with a 3-for-3 performance, scored three times and drove in four runs.
Maddox Lappin, Gavin Shindler and Weldon Garner all had two hits for Dodd City, with Brody Lappin, Caysen Lappin, Cash Crossland, O. Hanni Torres and Brooks Goodwin collecting one hit apiece.
Butler had Savoy's one hit.
Shindler picked up the win for Dodd City.
The Hornets (3-8, 3-5) will host Trenton on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and then Dodd City travels to Ector on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. game.
