Sherman, Texas -- The Sherman Symphony Orchestra (SSO) will perform a concert on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in Kidd-Key Auditorium, 400 Elm Street, Sherman, Texas. The concert is $20 for adults and free for students, with tickets available for purchase here

The concert will feature the symphony that put Beethoven on the map, his Seventh Symphony, Aaron Copland’s beautiful and moving Appalachian Spring, and an overture by Schubert from his singspiel Die Zwillingsbrüder.

The Sherman Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1966 by Austin College Professor of Music, Cecil Isaac, and performs several concerts throughout the year including the annual Christmas Pops show in December. Austin College Professor of Music and Music Department Chair, Dan Dominick, is the Sherman Symphony Orchestra’s director and conductor, taking up the baton in 1992.
