Dallas, Texas -- Recognizing the critical role of early detection in breast cancer treatment, the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center is partnering with Parkland Health to host the Mammograms Save Lives event on Saturday, March 22, from 7:00 a.m. to noon. Free and open to the public, the event will offer no-cost mammograms for women ages 40 and up, blood pressure screenings and glucose monitoring plus pampering services such as chair massages, mini facials and makeup tutorials – all designed to emphasize the importance of women’s health and self-care. And for those looking to start their morning off right, a one-hour boot camp led by Team Bailey Fitness will kick off in the gym at 7:00 a.m.

The event is open to women who are least 40 years of age, live in Dallas County and whose last mammogram was a year ago. Registration is required at
parklandhealth.org/mammograms-save-lives.

“Our goal is to empower women in our community to take control of their health and well-being by understanding the life-saving impact of regular mammograms,” said Trina Terrell-Andrews, CEO of the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center. “We are grateful for Parkland Health’s support in making these essential screenings more accessible, while raising awareness and reminding women that prioritizing health is key to living a long and healthy life.”

According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, with early detection playing a key role in reducing mortality rates. Mammograms can reduce the risk of dying from breast cancer by up to 30% in women aged 40-74, making events like Mammograms Save Lives essential for raising awareness and encouraging women to prioritize their health.
