Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City FFA Applied Agricultural Engineering team placed 2nd out of 30 teams at the Area V Applied Engineering Contest held at Collin College in Allen.
The contest consists of a written test, drawing and layout portion, oxyfuel torch cutting, and making various welds using the GMAW (MIG) welding process. Weldon Garner, July Peoples, Charlie Wild, and Caleb Munger were the 4 competitors.
Weldon and July were both top 5 individuals out of over 100 participants. The team will compete at the state contest April 4 at Sam Houston State University.
