Free event invites high schoolers, transfer students, parents and community members to explore academic options, resources and affordable tuition at Dallas’ only four-year university
Dallas, Texas -- Choosing where to attend college is a major decision that can significantly impact a person’s life. That’s why the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) is offering prospective students an exciting opportunity to explore its vibrant campus in a fun and relaxed setting.
Located in southern Dallas, UNT Dallas will host its annual spring open house – Trailblazer 360 Preview Day – on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the university’s Student Center (7300 University Hills Blvd). The event includes campus tours, lunch, giveaways and a prize drawing. Parking is free.
Among the university’s largest events of the year, Trailblazer 360 welcomes high school juniors and seniors and college transfer students, along with their parents and families, to visit the campus and learn firsthand about pathways to a college degree and fulfilling careers. Adults seeking new careers and training are also welcome.
Visitors can meet current and prospective students, as well as UNT Dallas faculty, staff and leaders to explore UNT Dallas’ unique academic programs and comprehensive student resources – from free mentoring and mental health counseling to hands-on job training and tuition assistance. Members of fraternities and sororities, the eSports team, UNT Dallas Athletics, the Student Government Association (SGA) and other groups, clubs and associations will be on hand to share information.
"This is the perfect opportunity to get a close-up look at our programs, our people and our Trailblazer culture," said Luis Franco, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management and Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions, UNT Dallas. "Students can get all of their questions asked in one place at one time in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment."
Thanks to the university's affordability and access to financial aid resources, UNT Dallas graduates have among the lowest median student debt in North Texas. Many students receive Pell grants and other financial assistance, including the Dallas County Promise and scholarships to help with tuition and fees. UNT Dallas is also highly ranked for value and socioeconomic mobility by national outlets like U.S. News & World Report and Washington Monthly.
The event will feature food and entertainment, admission and enrollment details, campus and residence hall tours, a student life and resource fair, scholarship drawings and giveaways, and financial aid information. Current UNT Dallas students, alumni and employees are also invited to attend.
UNT Dallas is the only four-year university in the City of Dallas, offering more than 30 undergraduate majors from four schools (Business, Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Behavioral Health and Human Services) and 10 graduate degree programs. Students can customize their educational path to suit their career goals, budget and lifestyle – both on- and off-campus. As today’s students prioritize both quality and affordability, UNT Dallas empowers them to graduate with more knowledge and less debt.
