Bonham, Texas -- James Ronald "Ron" Zamagni was born November 7, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of James Jordan Zamagni and Louise Trevisani Zamagni. He grew up and graduated from high school in Framingham, Massachusetts.
In 1964 at the young age of 18, Ron joined the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1984 following 20 years of dedicated service to his country which included duty assignments in Vietnam
On July 27, 1968 in Lubbock, Texas, Ron married the love of his life, Patricia Ann London. Following Ron’s retirement, the couple moved to Bonham, Texas where he went to work for TDCJ Buster Cole Unit. After seven plus years, he retired to enjoy time with his wife, family and hobbies.
Ronnie enjoyed riding motorcycles, water skiing, camping, attending air shows and playing video games. He was a very kind man with a heart of pure gold. Ron was generous minded and loved helping people.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of almost 57 years, Pat Zamagni, of Bonham, Texas, son, Sonny James “Jamie” Zamagni (Laurie) of Yuba City, California, daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Zamagni-Mander (Ron Mander) of Mooresville, N. Carolina and Veronica Roca (Cesar) of Alvarado, Texas, sister, Marie Ruzzano of Weymouth, Massachusetts, brother, Steven Zamagni (Judy Callahan) of Longs, S. Carolina, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way.
