Tioga, Texas -- The Dodd City Hornets took an early lead in this contest before a pair of eight-run innings by Tioga propelled the Bulldogs to a 15-run victory.

Dodd City took a 2-1 lead into the top of the second inning where the Hornets picked up a run to go up 3-1.

The lead vanished when Tioga scored eight runs in the bottom of the second and then put another eight runs on the scoreboard in the third inning.

The Bulldogs tacked on a final run in the fourth frame to post an 18-3 win.

Dodd City's Gavin Shindler went 1-for-1 with a walk, scored once and drove in a run.

Maddox Lappin was 1-for-2 and scored once. Riley Walker also went 1-for-2.

Weldon Garner was 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Tioga's Austin Norwood had a 3-for-4 day at the place and drove in three runs. Landon Bingham had a pair of hits and scored three times. Julian Hernandez threw a four-hitter and aided his own case with three RBIs.

Dodd City (4-11, 4-8) will be on the road again Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. game at Honey Grove.
