I am writing in support of our libraries. Libraries are one of the greatest traditions and institutions of free speech in the world. I am a library cardholder and enjoy physical books, Ebooks, and Audiobooks available to me because of our local public library.
One of my grandchildren experienced library and librarians at an early age in daycare because the Pottsboro Library visited their class weekly. These programs are vital for a literate and educated society.

"Libraries Are Under Threat
In many places, libraries are facing budget cuts, closures, or even attacks on the kinds of books they carry.
They’re More Than Books
Modern libraries offer free Wi-Fi, job hunting help, homework support, digital access, and safe spaces. Reminding people of these services can boost appreciation and usage—especially for those who might not realize what’s available.
Support Intellectual Freedom
With ongoing debates about book bans and censorship, standing up for libraries means standing up for access to information, diverse voices, and the right to read freely.
They Build Strong Communities
Libraries host events, language classes, voter registration, and so much more. Your letter can highlight how they bring people together—especially in uncertain times. "
Preserve our freedoms by supporting libraries with no qualifications or restrictions.
