Temple, Texas -- Susan Chong Edwards, 84, of Temple, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in Temple. Susan was born in Wonsan, Korea, 2 June 1940 to Tae Bok Chong and Pok Yo Cho Chong. 

A visitation for Susan will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Temple, TX. A funeral service will occur  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at St. Pauls Chong Hasang Catholic Church, Harker Heights, TX. A graveside service will follow later at 3:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, TX.

Susan immigrated to South Korea with her mother, younger sister and brother during the Korean War. She met Joe Edwards on Christmas 1965. They were married in March 1967. She became a cosmetologist and opened Susan's Hair Design in Norman, Oklahoma. Susan loved classical music and was an accomplished artist. She painted portraits of her family, nature and landscapes.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, of Temple, daughter Brenda and husband Dean of Clifton, son John and wife Susan of Temple, granddaughters Sophi of San Angelo and Kaeun of Temple, sister Chung Cha and niece Hae Jin of Glendale, Ca.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kyun Sang and granddaughter, Betsey.
