Dodd City, Texas -- On a perfect spring evening for baseball, the Ector Eagles clinched the district title and the top seed for the playoffs with a 6-0 win over the Dodd City Hornets.

Ector's Zach Hull pitched a one-hit shutout to pick up the win. Hull struck out nine and walked three.

Anthony Torres, Jayce Adams and Kaleb Haggard had two hits apiece for the Eagles. Hugh Bingham drove in two runs. 

Weldon Garner had Dodd City's hit.
