The Ector Lady Eagles entered the 2025 softball playoffs in a big way, pounding out a 17-1 win over the Sulphur Bluff Lady Bears in bi-district action Thursday.

This one was over in a hurry as Ector erupted for 11 runs in the first inning and scored six runs in the second inning en route to a three-inning 17-1 victory.

Ector sophomore Adalynn Dederick had a field day at the plate against the Lady Bears, going 2-for-2, scoring twice and driving in three runs.

Audrey Arie and Emma Laymance both went 2-for-2. Laymance scored two times and had a pair of RBIs. Arie scored three times and drove in a run.

Alana Mackey and Aspen Harris both scored three times in the runaway victory.

Meanwhile, Arie was holding Sulphur Bluff to only three hits to get the win. Arie struck out four and only gave up one walk.

The Lady Eagles advance to face the winner of Munday/Perrin-Whitt in the area round.
