The Dodd City Lady Hornets will compete for a state title Saturday evening at 6:40 p.m. at Mike Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin,Texas.  The Lady Hornets will send freshman Gracyn Shindler, sophomore Kayleigh McBrayer, juniors Cheyenne and Cierra Johnson to compete for the 4x200 meter relay state crown.

The Lady Hornets were champions in the 4x200 meter relay at the  UIL 1A -  Region 3 Championship two weeks ago in Waco, Texas posting a time of 1:52.50.  Earlier in the day these same Lady Hornets fell just short of qualifying for state in the 4x100 meter relay with a 3rd place finish in 53.37 seconds, just behind Saint Jo at 53.01 seconds and Cross Plains. at 52.64 seconds.
