Runs came in bunches for the Ector Eagles as they defeated the Saltillo Lions, 11-1, in five innings in a winner-take-all, one-game bi-district series on Friday.

The Eagles didn't waste any time, scoring four runs in the first inning. Saltillo scored its only run of the contest in the second inning to make the score 4-1.

Ector put the game away with five runs in the fourth frame and then closed the door on Saltillo with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to earn a  decisive 11-1 victory.

Ector southpaw Zach Hull hurled a two-hitter to get the win and aided his own cause with a pair of hits and one RBI.

Braeden Barnes also had two hits. Payton Siegler and Kaleb Haggard both drove in two runs. Heath Bingham worked the Saltillo pitching staff for four walks.

The Ector Eagles advance to take on Perrin-Whitt in the area round.
