Bonham, Texas -- Harold Ashlock completed his race on May 1, 2025, a race he had ran faithfully his whole life. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.

Harold spent his last couple of days calling as many lifetime friends as he could to say he loved them and appreciated all the memories and years of friendship. A devoted husband, father, papaw, son, brother, and uncle, Harold left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

For over two decades, Harold was well known as the owner and operator of Ashlock Motors Company. His dedication to his work and his community made him a respected figure in the area. After retiring, he found joy in playing golf with friends and family, cherishing the time spent together on the course.

Harold was never without a story to share. One of his most cherished testimonies was how God healed him after a cancer diagnosis—a story he shared often with those he met in hospitals, doctor’s offices, or anywhere he felt led to offer encouragement. His words brought comfort and renewed hope to many.

A man of deep faith, Harold grew up attending Living Word Church of God and became a faithful member at the age of sixteen. His love for God remained steadfast throughout his life, guiding his actions and shaping the way he led his family—always by example.

Harold’s legacy is one of faith, resilience, and compassion. He touched countless lives through both his personal witness and everyday kindness. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to all his and our family and friends for being there in so many ways, your prayers, calls, food, visits, your presence. The family would also like to say a special thank you to Bobby Richardson, for truly being a phone call away at a moments notice. Thank you to Deanna Smeaton for always going above and beyond. Choice Hospice you were truly a blessing to our family in our hour of need.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
