Texas Water Development Board approves $3,140,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of Ravenna-Nunnelee Water Supply Corporation (Fannin County) for water system improvements

Austin, Texas -- The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $3,140,000 in financing to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of Ravenna-Nunnelee Water Supply Corporation (Fannin County) from the Texas Water Development Fund. The Corporation will use the assistance for the planning, design, and construction of a water system improvement project.

The Corporation could save approximately $516,000 over the life of the loan by using the Texas Water Development Fund.

With the assistance approved today, the Corporation will replace approximately 37,000 linear feet of water lines, install emergency generators, and repair and upgrade the fencing around its well and pump stations.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
