Bonham, Texas – It’s time to sign up for Art Camp at the Creative Arts Center in Bonham.

Art Camp will be June 16-20, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.  Kids ages 4-10 are invited to participate in arts, crafts, games, music and more.  Cost is $200 for members and $250 for non-members. 

Music in the Garden has one more show set for Thursday, May 22 with 78 Live.  Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Music will start at 7:00 p.m. There will be a $5 cover charge to help cover the costs of the bands. Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and welcome to bring their own food and beverages.

A wide variety of art classes for all ages are also scheduled for the coming weeks.

Woodburning class will be held on May 31 from 11:00 a.m. to noon.  Deadline to register is May 20.

Garden Charm workshops are an opportunity for participants to learn how to turn their old jewelry and trinkets into garden art.  Classes for this will be held on June 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.,  led by Michelle Haynes with Estella SheShop. 

Mixed Media and Music is a free class for adults that will be held on June 10 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and June 12 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Tatiana Murray will be teaching an Oil Pastel class on June 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Sandy Barber will teach Groovy Jeans class on June 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and embroidery basics on June 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Barber will also teach a class in Canva basics on June 24.

Sip & Stitch is a free time for fiber artists to bring their current project and enjoy fellowship with others who like to crochet, knit, embroider and create other fiber arts.  The next Sip & Stitch is set for June 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. 

Likewise, Artist Get Togethers are free opportunity for artists of any medium to get together with other creative types and work on their current project. Upcoming sessions will be held on May 30 and June 27 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

JayeBella has two upcoming classes that include lunch and acrylic painting. Masterpieces and Mimosas will be on Friday, June 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Brush & Brunch will be on Tuesday, June 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Kids Crafts for ages 4-9 and Youth Mixed Media for ages 10-17 will be held one more Tuesday afternoon before the summer break from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on May 20. 

Junk Journal Club meets monthly and upcoming dates include May 21 and June 25.

The center offers weekly yoga classes.  Kristi Dunbar teaches yoga on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. Domanique Allen teaches chair yoga on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. Beginners are welcome. Classes cost $10 for members and $15 for non-members. A Belly Dancing Workshop will be held on May 31.

The Creative Arts Center is a nonprofit organization started in 2001 to celebrate the arts.  The center is located at 200 W 5th in Bonham.  The center is open Tuesday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
