Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Welcome the start of warm summer days with Bonham State Park’s Summer Outdoor EXPO on Saturday, June 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Poised on the water’s edge, enjoy a cool dip while experiencing what history and nature have to offer with the experts from across the southern United States. Workshops, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and guided hikes are just a few things you could expect to experience at Bonham State Park.
Currently in the line-up for June 7 will include: Historical demonstrations from TPWD’s Buffalo Soldiers, a meet and greet with real cowboys and their historical chuckwagon, sample some campfire cooking with our staff, surf the airwaves with HAM radio operators, and chat with Bonham’s finest first responders.
Also joining us for this breezy summer day are enthusiasts that will present hands on activities that explore topics such as fossils, birding, native plants and animals, local history, a stream trailer exhibition, live demonstrations on how to make your own fishing net, and guided bike tours.
In addition, visitors may enjoy fishing (fishing license not required), swimming, boating (reminder that Bonham State Park Lake is a “No Wake” lake), picnicking, hiking, and mountain biking. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, and be ready for a fun-filled day! Entrance fee is $4.00 for visitors 13 years old and up. Children, 12 years old and younger, are free.
Other June activities, hosted here at Bonham State Park, include Night Creatures on June 13, CCC Hike on June 14, Night Sky on June 20, and Dutch Oven on June 21. Check out Bonham State Park on Facebook, or our webpage, for additional details and dates throughout the year.
