The festival runs from 6 to 10 p.m. with professional salsa lessons from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and Latin DJ Ruben Reyes spinning tracks. Food trucks and vendors surround the amphitheater for each performance.
Havana NRG, a Latin orchestra from Dallas, is celebrating more than 20 years of entertaining audiences. Also known as the New Rhythm Generation, the group takes its Cuban roots to new levels of performance and musical direction. Since its debut, the band has performed in venues across the nation and grown an international fan base.
This year’s featured bands also include the highly versatile Latin Swing (July 12), Caribbean-inspired Zone D’Mambo (Aug. 9), and Houston-based Yamilka G y su Orquesta (Sept. 13).
