Denison, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming full closure of the southbound main lanes of US 75, beginning at Exit 67 (N Loy Lake Road). The closure is scheduled from 9:00 p.m. on June 2, until 5:00 a.m. on June 3, to facilitate the demo of the existing Spur 503 southbound to eastbound flyover bridge.

Southbound traffic will be detoured at Exit 67 onto the southbound Sam Rayburn Expressway. Motorists should continue south along the frontage road, bypassing the work area at the Spur 503 bridge, and re-enter US 75 using the next available entrance ramp.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
